 Two passionate about Scotland and its culture at the initiative of this festival, their wish? To bring and make discover the Scottish traditions and culture in the region of southern France, where can of things exist on this subject.

France and Scotland, a common history with an alliance, the oldest in the world: "the Auld Alliance"

Why 1782?

On July 1, 1782, the infamous "Act of Proscription" to control the Scottish people ended.

Established on 1 August 1746, it aimed to reduce Gaelic culture and more generally the Scottish clan system; to prohibit the wearing of tartan, bagpipes, traditional games and everything related and related to roots or traditions.
